The Big Apple, the city that never sleeps… Bear City!
New York City reveals its new face – a hairy one. While the Bear scene awaits for its annual Bear Weekend, a bunch of friends belonging to the community welcome a newcomer, Tyler. The boy is just a cub, who’s preparing to come out for the second time, this time to his twink friends, about the fact that he actually fancies daddy bears. His arrival stirs up things among the bears, coming right in the middle of their love, identity and gastro-intestinal problems.
This comedy-drama bears a clear resemblance to the Sex and the City. Using humor it approaches the characters’ personal problems, showing at the same time the bears’ cityscape and giving insight into this minority within minority. What we can see are troubles with maintaining a happy relationship, finding a place within the community, or accepting one’s physicality, and the “beary” way to deal with them.
