Lapsenkasvoinen mutta lihaksikas Dennis juhlii syntymäpäiväänsä railakkaasti. Lahjapaketista paljastuu todellinen unelmamies. Dennisille ei kuitenkaan enää riitä pelkkä kaunis kuori, vaan hän janoaa enemmän. The tale's main hero is Dennis (Timothy Olyphant), an attractive waiter/photographer with a baby face and highly developed pectorals, who's celebrating his birthday with a big bash. His present turns out to be a spectacular J. Crew Guy (Chris Wiehl). But a hunk isn't enough for Dennis anymore as he realizes when the two start making out in bed. "I can't do it anymore. I'm tired of sex with people who only care what I look like. I want more," he despairs as he shows the J. Crew Guy the door.

His pals are equally maladroit when it comes to dealing with wholesome affection. Newbie Kevin (Andrew Keegan) is just painfully coming out; overweening Cole (Dean Cain) flits from one lover to the next without a conscience; Howie (Matt McGrath) is still pining over the man he discarded months ago; Benji (Zach Braff) salivates over muscle guys and isn't sure whether he should repaint his toenails; Patrick (Ben Weber) considers himself ugly and must decide whether to donate his sperm to his lesbian sister's nasty lover; while Taylor (Billy Porter) is recovering from being dumped by listening to the "Beaches" soundtrack.
